1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and the Association of Kerala Medical Graduates ("AKMG", "we", "us"). They cover your use of the AKMG mobile app, the website medecon.online (together, the "Service"), and your registration for MEDECON World Congress and AKMG International Conclave 2027 events. By creating an account or registering for an event you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

3. Event registration

4. Fees and payments

5. Cancellations and refunds

Refund and cancellation terms for an event are shown when you register for it. Where no specific terms are shown, you may request a cancellation by contacting the secretariat, and refunds are considered case by case, less any non-refundable payment processing and third-party costs already incurred. If we cancel an event, we will refund the fee you paid for that event in full.

6. Entry passes

Confirmed registrations receive a QR entry pass in the app. Passes are personal and non-transferable. Do not share or copy your pass. A pass may be scanned only once per session, and we may ask for photo identification at entry. Duplicated or altered passes will be refused.

7. Changes to the programme

Speakers, sessions, times and venues may change. We will tell you of significant changes through the app or by email. If we cannot hold an event for reasons beyond our reasonable control (such as government restrictions, severe weather, or venue closure), we will try to reschedule it or offer a refund or credit.

8. Conduct

At events and on the Service, you must treat other participants respectfully, follow venue rules and the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and not harass anyone, disrupt sessions, record sessions where recording is prohibited, misuse the Service, attempt to access other accounts, or interfere with its security. We may remove anyone who breaches these rules from an event without refund.

9. Photography and recording

Events may be photographed and filmed by AKMG. By attending, you agree that images in which you appear may be used in AKMG communications, galleries and reports. If you would prefer not to appear in close-up images, tell the event photographer or the secretariat.

10. Content and intellectual property

The Service, the AKMG and MEDECON names and logos, and the congress materials belong to AKMG or its licensors. You may use them only for personal, non-commercial participation. Content you upload (such as a profile photo or payment receipt) remains yours; you give us permission to store and use it to provide the Service.

11. Medical and scientific content

Scientific sessions and materials are for the continuing education of healthcare professionals. They are not medical advice for any individual patient. Views expressed by speakers are their own and not necessarily those of AKMG.

12. Disclaimers and liability

We provide the Service "as is" and do not promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, AKMG is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for travel, accommodation or visa costs, and our total liability to you in connection with an event is limited to the amount you paid for that event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You are responsible for your own travel arrangements, visas, insurance and personal belongings at events.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or are used fraudulently. Deleting an account does not cancel or refund existing paid registrations unless the secretariat agrees.

14. Apple App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store:

If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, where the congress is held. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Dubai, unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings there.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
